The Union Council receives and scrutinises Reports from the Union Executives, Campus Media, Popularly Elected Union Councillors, and Council Committees to ensure the standard of their operation. It is required in the By-laws that the Union Executives, Campus Media, Popularly Elected Union Councillors, and Council Standing Committees submit reports half-yearly and annually, while Committees ad hoc are required to submit their reports after the conclusion of their business.
Once a draft report has been presented to the Union Council, Union Council members are given the chance to propose amendments at the Council meetings. The amendments will then be discussed and voted upon in the Union Council. Once a draft report has been amended and a final vote was taken, it becomes an official report.
